Elena Junin

After discovering sculpture under the guidance of Arnaldo Pomodoro and being introduced to the world of "wearable art" by Davide De Paoli, Laura developed her own artistic synthesis of these two souls, dedicating herself almost exclusively to sculptural jewelry since 1993. Continually exploring herself and new technical methods, she has created 22 collections to date, each with a distinctly different connotation, yet all rooted in a single guiding principle: to capture the emotion or sensation of the moment in its authentic nature through material, without any "softening" mediation: the moment experienced as it is.
Her works are regularly exhibited in Italian and European galleries.

TRAUMART Anton Sokolov

Anton Sokolov was born in 1983 in Kharkiv, Ukraine, which at the time was officially part of the USSR, as the Ukrainian state did not yet exist. "I am a former dentist and a future jeweler," is how Anton recently introduced himself. With 15 years of private practice behind him, Anton had almost resigned himself to the idea that his childhood dream of becoming a jeweler, like his father, would remain just that. His attempts to immerse himself in the fascinating world of jewelry making had convinced him that it was impossible to combine his full-time job with such a demanding hobby. He had to choose a path, but giving up a stable, albeit unfulfilling, job with a good income was not easy. Then the war in Ukraine changed everything. During his volunteer work, Anton was caught in a rocket attack in the center of his city. He was injured, and it was a miracle that doctors managed to save his leg. However, it soon became clear that further surgery would be necessary, preferably abroad. Anton was reluctant to leave Ukraine, partly for his health reasons. As he prepared to leave, he packed only the bare essentials, but made sure to bring his jewelry tools and the bullet casings he had collected on the streets of his city. In July 2022, Anton found himself in Munich, Germany. After undergoing two more leg surgeries, Anton finally decided to change careers, and this became a fundamental turning point in his life. He chose not to validate his dentistry degree and devoted all his energy to studying the art of jewelry. This is where the concept for his first jewelry brand, SUDU Jewel, was born: creating pieces from bullet casings, imbuing each with a profound meaning and assigning them the name and number of the war day on which they were made. All the jewelry is made from materials collected in Ukraine during the war: bullet casings, missile fragments, brass, glass, and silver. All pieces are signed with the war day number. In October 2023, Anton attended the Milan Jewelry Week for the second time. During this particular visit, however, Anton had a brief but pleasant acquaintance, which later proved profoundly significant and important. He happened to visit the Between the Twigs and Incontra Silvia showroom.
She was immediately impressed by Anton's work and in October 2024 decided to invite him to present his works at the Milan Jewelry Week
as a participant.
Thanks to this collaboration, Anton changed his approach to jewelry creation and also the name of his jewelry brand:
Traumart | combines three key elements, each contributing to its layered meaning:
TRAUMA | This element reflects the deep emotional and physical wounds caused by war and other hardships. It symbolizes personal and collective experiences, significant in the context of the Ukrainian reality. It serves as a reminder that art can be born from pain and trauma.
ART | Art here serves as a means of expressing and transforming emotions. It becomes a tool for healing and dialogue, allowing individuals to process and express their feelings while finding a way to free themselves from destructive experiences.
TRAUM | Traum, in German, means "Dream," and is a vivid image that guides us through the fog of war, providing the strength to move forward.
TRAUMART is not just a name, but a concept that intertwines the experience of trauma, the power of art, and faith in dreams.
Anton was awarded at the Milano Jewellery week 2024 as Best Jewelry Art and Craft category by the President of the Goldsmith Federation of the Italian National Confederation of Crafts.
In February 2025, Anton was in Milan to take part in an event dedicated to his work.
